The 38th Committee for the Confucius Memorial Ceremony General Convener Inaugural Ceremony
  The Committee for the Confucius Memorial Ceremony held the 38th General Convener Inaugural Ceremony at the Culture Center of T.E.C.O. in Milpitas on the evening of March 6. The Director General Ma of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco presents appreciation award to General Convener David Wang and congratulates the new Convener Eilesse Liu.   In 1982, the first Confucius Memorial Ceremony was held in Northern California. San Francisco bay area was the first place in the world for overseas Chinese to hold the ceremony. It not only became the most important cultural event in Northern California but also won global recognition.

47th Anniversary of the Stanislaus Chinese Association and 2019 New Year Party
  The Stanislaus  Chinese Association held 47th  Anniversary and 2019 New Year Gala at Modesto Centre Plaza in Modesto on the evening of February 10th. Esteemed guests including Alex Lee, Deputy Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco and Roy Yen, Director of the Culture Center of T.E.C.O. in San Francisco (Milpitas), Dr. Liu and Huey Ying Lee, the co-chairman of the Stanislaus  Chinese Association, Stanislaus County Board of Supervisor Jim De Martini, Modesto Mayor Ted Brandvold, City Councilor Doug Ridenour, Kenny Kenoyer, Modesto Chamber of Commerce CEO Cecil Russell, Modesto Junior College and Columbia Junior College Chancellor Henry Yong, attended the eventalong with 650 other people from the mainstream community. Alex Lee wished all the participants a happy new year. Roy Yen gave a detailed introduction to the overseas compatriot card and also explained how to become an overseas authorized store. In order to promote the cultural activities, overseas folk cultural teachers set up booths at the venue to teach children to play ancient games,yo-yo,made dough figurines, pig lanterns, and paper plate lion headswhich effectively spread the children's folk art and Chinese culture.
