The Overseas Chinese High School Seoul, Korea, held the inauguration ceremony of the Museum of Chinese in Korea on July 15, 2020. Attendees of the ceremony include Tan, Shao-Jung, principal of the school, Yu, Chi-Sheng, director of the school, and representatives from overseas Chinese associations, communities, and schools in Korea. Unable to attend owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chen-Yuan, Tung, minister of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), recorded a video to give his congratulations on the inauguration.
The museum, open to overseas compatriots individuals, communities, and schools in Korea, displays historical photos of the school, the registration certificate of the OCAC, the history of overseas Chinese associations, household registration transcripts, cultural antiquities, etc. for the younger generation to understand the history of overseas compatriots in Korea and appreciate the hard work of their ancestors.
