The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is assiduous in its provision of services to overseas compatriots. In order to enhance communication with overseas compatriots, to promote Taiwanese/Chinese culture and education, and in particular to provide a place that overseas compatriots can call home, the OCAC has established 17 Culture Centers around the world in cities with high concentrations of overseas compatriot. The Center is a point of contact for obtaining varieties of services. We hope that through our endeavors all overseas compatriots could feel the thoughtfulness of the OCAC even across the international borders, and it will continue to identify with and render support to Taiwan. The Culture Center of T.E.C.O. in New York was founded in Flushing on March 29, 1986, and it now serves the States of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut.
