Several countries, like Vietnam, are now requesting travel records for Taiwanese citizens as an entry requirement. How do you go about getting these?
You can apply at the Bureau of Consular Affairs or at Taiwanese embassies and representative offices overseas by following the steps below:
1. Fill in a Certificate of Entry and Exit Dates (入出國日期證明書) application form
2. Bring your government-issued ID or passport along with a photocopy
3. Hand over a fee of NT$100 or equivalent
If you have been out of the country, but not to an affected area, you’ll need to apply for a separate certificate which specifies which countries you’ve entered from and exited to (入出境紀錄). This information is provided to the National Immigration Agency by airlines, so the first destination that passengers fly to from Taiwan is listed as destination; the country of origin is the last country the passenger traveled to before entering Taiwan.
