Handover of President of 9th Japan Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce – Youth League Held Online
The 8th Japan Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce – Youth League completed the 8th members' assembly and 9th president handover online on March 26. 8th President Lin Wei-han handed over to incoming president Teng Yao-hu. Asia Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce Junior Chapter president Yu-Shin Lin was invited and took part online. The Japan Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce – Youth League actively nurtures Taiwan business second-generation youth elite, works to increases their sense of identification with Taiwan, and furthers the merger of youth overseas compatriot organizations into mainstream society groups in the place of residence; the aims are also to promote joint industrial, commercial development and international market development by young overseas compatriot entrepreneurs in different regions, as well as facilitate interaction between the children of overseas compatriot entrepreneurs and young Japanese people. Taiwan Association Philippine Youth Chapter holds the iTaiwan Online Lecture Industry Expo
Taiwan Association Philippine Youth Chapter held the iTaiwan Online Lecture Industry Expo on the afternoon of May 8, hosted by deputy event leader Lin Nan-hung. This event introduced the services of many companies, epidemic prevention information and various professional Line consulting windows. The content was abundant and varied. The event was attended by around 40 people including President of the Taiwan Association Inc., Philippines Huang Ya-hui, and representatives of the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines. Firstly, responsible persons of food, travel, furniture, realty and other companies, including Palengke Go, Ersao, Ninetea, Chicky Fried Chicken, Formesa Frozen Foods, Uniku, Yachou Foods, Apsara Home, First Property, Terrior Wine, Baby Project and Jeron Travel were invited to introduce services and products provided in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic; they also provided online consumer vouchers to allow people to enjoy delicious Taiwanese foods and the taste of home in the Philippines. Deputy president of Taiwan's TTY Biopharm Chen Wen-yu was invited to explain vaccine information and analyze the effects of and overseas data for different vaccines. Also, facing the serious epidemic situation, it isn't easy for people to go outside. Lin Nan-hung provided a living guide for the epidemic period and shared information on several online shopping platforms to give people more convenient choices for shopping. The event was also combined with the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) iTaiwan online lecture, explaining the OCAC's new models for serving Taiwanese and overseas compatriot entrepreneurs, and providing the Overseas Credit Guarantee Fund (Taiwan) Epidemic Relief Program 3.0, global Taiwanese and overseas compatriot entrepreneurs agricultural service program, global overseas compatriot telecare APP, global epidemic prevention materials Taiwanese business catalog, and other special Line consulting windows, to allow Taiwanese and overseas compatriot entrepreneurs and youth to more quickly contact Taiwan windows in specialized areas and receive information through digital service, enhancing the connection between overseas compatriot youth and Taiwan.

2021 OCAC Distance Learning Program for Mandarin Teachers (for Europe and Africa)
In order to provide online in-service training for Mandarin teachers in Europe and Africa, helping them improve their professional skills, the Overseas Community Affairs Council held "2021 OCAC Distance Learning Program for Mandarin Teachers (for Europe and Africa)", at National Taiwan Normal University(NTNU) Extension School of Continuing Education from March 29th to April 19th. In total, 59 Mandarin teachers from different nationalities have participated in this program, including South Africa, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.  This program focuses on three topics, namely, "Distance Learning Application," "E-learning Materials Demonstration," "Online Mandarin Teaching." In addition, the NTNU faculty team has customized a series of cross-cultural and interdisciplinary courses to suit the Mandarin teachers worldwide. The synchronous online learning has been beneficial to the online resource and information sharing as well as encourage the teaching demonstration and discussion between the participants. All the participants have expressed that they benefited greatly from this three-week program, and since the channel of Mandarin teaching exchange and communication have been strengthened, these Mandarin teachers have become more confident of Mandarin promotion in the future. The closing ceremony was hosted by Yu-O Jung, the director-general of the Department of Education Affairs of OCAC. During the ceremony, Ms. Jung appreciated the participants dedicating to Mandarin education and it is expected that the Mandarin teachers will share the information learned in this program with their students or encourage them to pursue advanced Mandarin study in Taiwan.  In the post-epidemic era, OCAC is going to integrate the resource of universities to hold a variety of training programs online, such as "Online MA Program in Teaching Mandarin as a Foreign Language," also, the audio-visual materials will be uploaded to "www.HuayuWorld.org" of OCAC for the promotion of Mandarin education.
