On August 20, the Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Paraguay Junior Chapter (TCCPJC) held a social event for its members in the Asunción area. Asunción area members attended with their relatives and children. Also attending the grand occasion were Vice President of the Asociación China en Asunción Paraguay and OCAC Coordinator Yi-hua Lee and first TCCPJC Secretary General Kuo Fu-lung and Chief Financial Officer Sonia Karnani.
First, Asunción Vice President Su-hwa Chen welcomed new members. Originally, the Asunción area only had four members but added four new members through this social event. It is hoped that TCCPJC operations can gradually increase in the area. Then, the President reported on activities over the last year, sharing the results with everyone. While most TCCPJC activities in the past were centered on Ciudad del Este, this event provided an opportunity for members to discuss activities that can be held in the Asunción area in the next year.
Vice President of the Asociación China en Asunción Paraguay and OCAC Coordinator Yi-hua Lee also attended. He said he was happy to see the TCCPJC grow in the Asunción area and that the Asociación is also continually recruiting new members. He expressed the hope that more young people can be involved in providing services to the overseas community and also that the two organizations have opportunities for cooperation in future.
Sonia Karnani also arranged festive Mid-Autumn Festival interactive games for the event, having an enjoyable festival with members and their families amidst a happy atmosphere. At the end, on behalf of the TCCPJP, Chen Si-hua handed out Mid-Autumn Festival gift boxes to Asunción area members and wished all members a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival.
