The Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce Seattle held a Mid-Autumn Festival barbecue party on September 17. Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Seattle Director Hsiao-Chu Wu joined in the fun.
President Benson Hsu thanked all members for their enthusiastic participation and said he was especially happy to see quite a few new friends. He said the Junior Chamber intends to give young Taiwanese a chance to expand their social connections to promote business opportunity exchange and he expressed the hope that everyone will take part in related activities in future; he said, in future, different activities will be held depending on member needs and invited everyone to register to take part.
Culture Center of TECO in Seattle Director Hsiao-Chu Wu thanked the Junior Chamber for actively taking part in overseas community activities such as the National Day activity series over the past. two years under former president Wen Fang-wen and now the current president, filling the whole of Seattle with creativity and vitality; and also for helping the Culture Center hold the iTAIWAN experience camp- entrepreneur competition, encouraging local young people to formulate business startup plans combining Taiwan resources and to link with chambers of commerce; this year, iTAIWAN will be held on October 29. She invited all junior chamber members to enthusiastically take part.
To promote exchange, the Junior Chamber arranged for each participant to interviewee each new friend and official so that every participant could interact with others and understand chamber affairs and the recent situation; the chamber also arranged an array of BBQ ingredients and quite a few young entrepreneurs who operate restaurants provided dishes and drinks. At the end, a lucky draw was held to bring the happy festive event to a close.
