It has been a year since the establishment of the Cape Town Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in South Africa - Junior Chapter (CTTCC-JC) on July 24, 2022. On August 13th this year, the first second-term members' meeting took place, hosted by President Ya-Fan Wong of the CTTCC-JC. President Kuo-Yang Wang of the Cape Town Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and First Assistant Director Lisa Lee of the Taipei Liaison office in Cape Town were also in attendance. The meeting saw participation from over 40 youth members.

He expressed his gratitude for the active participation and contributions of the members over the past year, which have contributed to the continuous growth of the CTTCC-JC. He also thanked President Guo-Yang Wang for his guidance and the support from the Taipei Liaison Office in Cape Town. In the future, the CTTCC-JC will actively recruit new members and look forward to organizing charitable activities as a way to give back to the community.
In President Guo-Yang Wang's remarks, he encouraged members to take full advantage of this occasion to voice their opinions, engage in meaningful dialogue with one another, and actively promote the initiatives of the CTTCC-JC. Recognizing the busy schedules of many members, he emphasized that this is a rare opportunity for youth members to come together.
First Assistant Director Lisa Lee highlighted the CTTCC-JC's remarkable achievements despite its recent one-year establishment, including the successful organization of economic and trade seminars, dental care services, art lectures, and basketball competitions. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to the members for their active engagement in serving the overseas compatriot community. Furthermore, she introduced the diverse initiatives provided by OCAC to support the overseas Taiwanese business community. She also enthusiastically promoted the "i Compatriot Card" program designed to cater to the needs of overseas compatriots, underscoring the simplicity of the application process and the exclusive member benefits. She encouraged everyone to apply for the program, either online or in person, to take full advantage of these privileges.
