The metaverse is a quickly developing part of this modern world. On November 27th, the GOXR metaverse event was held. The GOXR metaverse event was hosted by the Culture Center of Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in San Francisco(Milpitas) and the Formosa Association of Student Cultural ambassadors in the San Francisco Bay Area (FASCA SFBA).
VIPs in attendance included Culture Center of Taipei Economic & Cultural Offices in San Francisco(Milpitas) Director Sophia Chuang, CSU Monterey Bay Professor Dr. Eric Tao, National Council of Associations of Chinese Language Schools VP of Administration James Hsi, Association of Northern California Chinese Schools President Lisa Wang, Jointed Alumni Association of Chinese Universities and Colleges in Northern California President Sharon Lin, XRSPACE Marketing Assistant Manager Viola Chan, Overseas Community Affairs Council representatives Alex Wang & Jerry Hsia, and FASCA SFBA’s five advisors and assistant advisor - Tony Chen, Sandra Su, Katy Wu, Lily Lee, Noya Lee, and Emma Wang.
During the event, professionals taught participants how GOXR works and how one could navigate the metaverse. Dr. Eric Tao from CSU Monterey Bay, Founder of the SrVI- Health Technology Venture Fund talked to attendees about the metaverse and its significance in the rapidly developing world of virtual events. Event attendees got the opportunity to design their own virtual room, with the ability to allow their virtual selves to feel at home in the metaverse.
More than 50 people joined the virtual event, including FASCA SFBA members and teachers from all over the Bay Area and the VIPs. The successful turnout of the event hints towards more future success with metaverse events to come!
