On August 6th, the Taiwan Association Philippine Youth Chapter (TAPYC) hosted a Real Estate Seminar in Makati, Manila's central business district. The event featured three real estate experts with over a decade of experience in the Philippines. Approximately 50 participants, including Director Karen Wang and Deputy Director Benjamin Liang of the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines, and youth businesses, attended the seminar with great enthusiasm, actively engaging in the discussion.
This event revolved around the theme of real estate investment. The TAPYC President Nan-Hong Lin moderated the meeting with great humor and fluency, and engaged in in-depth dialogues with the invited experts. The three expert speakers included Mr. Marco Lee, who manages the Facebook page called "First Stop for Investing in Philippine Real Estate," Ms. Yumi, who manages "Ms. Landlord Lady in the Philippines," and Mr. Simpson Lin, the co-founder of " First Property " .Mr. Lin is also the recipient of the 2021 Global Young Entrepreneur Stars Award. These experts shared their experiences, legal insights, and knowledge gained from years of real estate business. They also responded to the audience's questions and provided valuable perspectives.
During the event, Director Karen Wang provided an overview of the services offered by the OCAC. This included details about the "i Compatriot Card," its benefits, and the application process, along with an invitation for businesses to become authorized stores. Director Wang also highlighted OCAC's initiatives for nurturing exceptional overseas compatriot youths and youth entrepreneurs, such as the Global Young Entrepreneur Stars Selection and the International Youth Goodwill Ambassador Program. Attendees were encouraged to recommend talented peers for participation in these programs. Additionally, Director Wang introduced various professional training programs, cross-disciplinary seminars, and conferences organized by the OCAC. These initiatives aim to equip compatriot youths with essential business management skills and facilitate resource sharing and networking. Interested individuals can register for these events through the OCAC registration system. Finally, on behalf of the OCAC Minister, Director Wang honored Mr. Ethan Chen, renowned as the "Fresh King" in the Philippines, as the recipient of the 2023 Global Young Entrepreneur Stars Award.
The TAPYC also invited several distinguished guests to the event, including Taiwan Association Inc. Philippines (TAP) President Frenny Lee and Taiwanese Compatriot Association in the Philippines (TCAP) President Andrew Liang. The event proved to be highly productive in terms of knowledge sharing. Attendees actively posed questions and found the experience to be immensely beneficial. They eagerly look forward to the Youth Chapter organizing even more exciting and enriching activities for the community.
