Camara Comercial Juvenil de Taiwan en Argentina holds a breakfast meeting to celebrate Chongyang Festival Taking colorful photos of the elderly
The Camara Comercial Juvenil de Taiwan en Argentina (Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Argentina -Junior Chapter; CCJTA) held a Chongyang Festival activity to thank elderly people for their giving and support, inviting elderly Taiwanese compatriots to breakfast and arranging a professional photographer to capture their beauty and handsomeness in old age. The Taiwan representative office in Argentina, president of the Federacion de empresarios Chinos en Latin America Chen, Bih-hwa, president of the Asocion Civil De Los Taiwaneseses en Argentina Huang, Shu-fang, president of the Camara Comercial de Taiwan en Argentina Diego Lee, president of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women Argentina Hu, Yuan-yuan, president of the World Federation of Chinese Traders Association Argentina Fu, Wen-wen and Compatriot Affairs Secretary Yeh, Feng-ji all attended to give their respects and wished the event success. During the activity, members of the Junior Chapter shared handmade made soy milk, and sandwiches, buns and rice cake with elderly attendees and chatted with them about various things. President Hu of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women Argentina kindly provided tea eggs and tasty sandwiches for the enjoyment of attendees. On site, many photo stations were set up. As well as taking documents photos, one station provided props; the young photographers instructed the elderly how to use the props and adopt various poses to look different to their everyday appearance. The scene was happy and bustling. During the photography activity, counselling president of CCJTA Lin, Hui-wen called on the elderly to return to their youth, to enjoy life and relax before the camera lens to leave behind many beautiful photos.  CCJTA president Yo, Cheng-yu said that since the junior chapter was established a few years, it has been cared for and supported by the elderly in the overseas community. To thank the elderly for their support, this Chongyang Festival celebratory breakfast was arranged and professional photographers from their team who are skilled at portrait photography enlisted to take photos as souvenirs for the elderly. He thanked Taiwan's representative in Argentina Miguel Tsao Li-jey, OCAC commissioner Lucia Gott, Evergreen Marine Corp., Vice President Lee of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Argentina, executive director Huang of the Asocion Civil De Los Taiwaneseses en Argentina, and Madame Huang Bi-hsia. Attending president of the Federacion de empresarios Chinos en Latin America Chen, Bih-hwa said she was very pleased to see the junior chapter attach importance to elderly overseas compatriots and hoped that more events for old people can be held by young overseas compatriots to give the elderly a chance to get together and have fun and bring about better interaction between the old, middle aged and young, bringing them closer together.

Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Portugal holds 2022 annual meeting and president handover and witnesses establishment of first junior chapter on October 22 in Leiria, Portugal. With the process and purpose of the establishment of the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce, president of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Portugal Chuang Den-shyan emphasized the inseparable relationship between Taiwanese entrepreneurs in Portugal and Taiwan and their important role as a bridge between Taiwan and Portugal. Honorary president Chien Wen-ta mentioned that the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Portugal was established in 2009 after an opportunity appeared following exchange with the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Spain. Taiwan suffered the August 8 floods the same year and, caring about Taiwan as ever, Chien raised funds through the Chamber to donate to help the reconstruction effort. Chang Tsung-che, representative at the Taiwan Centro Economico e Cultural de Taipei em Portugal, also attended and gave his congratulations. He said that more and more Taiwanese are investing in Portugal and, through the business operation and deep cultivation of Taiwanese entrepreneurs, more and more Portuguese know about Taiwan. He called on Taiwanese entrepreneurs to continue the spirit of mutual help and unity of Taiwanese to be a solid force for Taiwan in Portugal. The new president of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Portugal Ding Jyh-Iuan invited attendees to enjoy the authentic tastes of home, a rare opportunity. Chang Tsung-che also said that due to dietary habits, early immigrants often took the family chef with them when they emigrated, which meant that classic dishes with original flavor could sometimes actually be enjoyed overseas. The event also saw the establishment meeting of the first junior chapter of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Portugal, bringing together many Taiwanese who are new to Portugal; they exchanged and shared exchanged with Taiwanese entrepreneurs who have been in the country for more than 40 years, hoping to find more business opportunities in Portugal. President of the Junior Chapter Enya Chen heartily thanked the Chamber and the Taiwan representative office for being strong backup for young entrepreneurs. She said the Chamber and Junior Chapter will hold more activities in future to further develop links between Taiwan and Portugal and she invited overseas compatriots to take part.
