2020 08/07Elected President of the TJCCNA, Danny Chen from Orange County promised to create new opportunities for the younger generation via the Internet Danny Chen, President of the Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce Orange County (TJCCOC), ran for the 17th President of the Taiwanese Junior Chambers of Commerce of North America (TJCCNA) election this year, and was successfully elected on June 20, 2020. He is also the first president of the TJCCNA from Orange County, California and Orange County compatriots all feel proud of him. With the assistance of Chiang Yi-Peng, Director of the Culture Center of TECO in Santa Ana, Danny Chen has devoted himself to overseas compatriot work in Orange County, holding talks of public interest issues, such as economy,trade,law, and taxes,and promoting the interaction among overseas chambers of commerce. In the future, he will expand the scope of services throughout North America. Danny Chen said that his passion for overseas compatriots and Taiwan would never change, and he will also go to hold all kinds of commercial activities and strengthen interaction between overseas chambers of commerce. He also promised to organize activities that feature both traditional and IT industries so that young participants can explore and create more business opportunities. Upon winning the election, Danny Chen fulfilled his promise to hold an online business forum to help young Taiwanese businessmen know more about Taiwanese enterprises in the United States. About 100 compatriots participated online to learn valuable entrepreneurial and marketing experience. Iris Cherng, a young founder of Honey Belle, a skincare company, shared her experience of starting with homemade soaps and gradually expanding sales of products to various US chain stores. May Chiang, Chief Operating Officer of ETTV America Corporation, analyzed the hot-selling commodities on the online shopping platform, explained the new consumer attributes of online shopping affected by the current COVID-19 pandemic, and instructed the compatriots how to make good use of the online platform for marketing. Danny Chen explained that online sharing seminars would help overseas Taiwanese businessmen exchange information, learn from others’experiences, share marketing channels, and explore business opportunities. In the future, the TJCCNA will upload domestic and overseas business information periodically for members to be fully engaged, and hold online interaction activities to strengthen bonds between chambers of commerce and overseas compatriot communities, thereby creating a shard resource pool and a win-win scenario.
