The Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta is located in Chamblee, Georgia. The total area of the center is 0.4559 acres. The land was donated by TPA Ltd. in 1988. BES Engineering Corporation was in charge of the building construction and finished it in 1989. The building was first occupied and named by the Atlanta Chinese Community Center; however, in 1994, the Chinese Community Center had difficulties operating its funding. The operation of the center went back to OCAC (Overseas Community Affairs Council, Republic of China (Taiwan). The center was renamed Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Atlanta and was approved to be a sub-organization of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta by the US government in 1996.
The Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta represents Taiwan in the southeastern region of the United States. Our service area includes Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. We provide facilities for cultural activities, Chinese teaching, social functions, seminars, libraries, literature, etc.
