The Training Program of 2019 Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA) in Chicago, U.S.A .
The Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Chicago, U.S.A. hosted “The Training Program of 2019 Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA)” on December 7 with FASCA members attending a professional seminar .Lecturers from TAP communicated with young FASCA members and transferred of experiences,Including college life and employment.

The Training Program of 2019 Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA) in San Francisco Bay Area
The Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco (Milpitas), U.S.A. hosted “The Training Program of 2019 Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA)” on December 1 with FASCA members joining the fellowship at the end of the year. The participants included previous students,parents, teachers and other FASCA members. A total of 100 participants shared the learning,feeling and services。

2020 Lunar New Year Goodwill Mission Asia Tour Pre-departure Public Performance Leaping Taiwan well received
The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) enlisted Formosa Circus Art (FOCA) to implement the 2020 Lunar New Year Goodwill Mission Asia Tour. The Mission held a pre-departure public performance at Tungnan University’s Gymnasium on December 25, 2019. With Leaping Taiwan as the theme, the show combined traditional acrobatics with songs, postures, dance and other forms of performance to express the charm of Taiwan’s diverse culture and its boundless vitality. The performance was warmly received by 600 Tungnan University students and teachers and locals of New Taipei City’s Shenkeng District. Giving a speech, OCAC section chief Jung Yu-o thanked Tungnan University’s president for attending and also thanked the team from the university for assisting and supporting this pre-departure public performance. She also explained  the mission of cultural diplomacy, winning international friends and raising the profile of Taiwan of such cultural missions dispatched on overseas tours by the OCAC. The 2020 Lunar New Year Goodwill Mission Asia Tour will perform in Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia from January 27 to February 13, 2020.

Culture Teachers Teaching Achievement Sharing Forum successfully completed
In order to increase the  understanding of Taiwan’s cultural diversity of overseas compatriot young, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) selected 36 culture teachers in 2019 to go overseas to support the Overseas Youth Summer Camp and Overseas Culture Teaching Program. There were had more than 17,000 participants and were well received. Consequently, the OCAC invited this year’s culture teachers to come together to share teaching achievements and OCAC Deputy Minister Kao Chien-chih also presented them with certificates of  appreciation.  Kao thanked the teachers for their varied and lively teaching that conveyed Taiwan’s diverse and lively teaching methods and cultural skills to overseas compatriot school teachers and students and, by doing so, increased their interest in learning Chinese.    The OCAC selects cultural teachers to engage in overseas teaching tours every year; the subjects include folk sports, national dance, folk art, kung fu, ink wash painting and dragon & lion dancing, the aim to increase the understanding of Taiwan’s diverse culture of overseas compatriot adolescents so that they are a new force supporting Taiwan in the future.
