At the Lunar New Year festival co-organized by the Houston Fine Art Museum and HEB Supermarket on February 25th, the FASCA Houston Chapter brought a taste of Taiwan to the local community. Through cultural handicraft stalls, dazzling diabolo performances, and vibrant Taiwanese aboriginal dances, they joyfully shared the island's rich folk culture.

The FASCA-Houston diabolo team, established just five months ago, took center stage at the festival. Though most members were newcomers to the art, under Captain Truman Wang's guidance, they honed their skills through after-school and weekend practices. A seven-member team wowed the audience with a dazzling display of diabolo tricks, set to popular dance music.

FASCA-Houston's participation at the festival not only fostered a strong sense of community among overseas Taiwanese youth, but also served as a powerful platform to showcase Taiwan's rich culture on the international stage.
A line of visitors eagerly awaits their turn at DIY Dragon Year lantern making at the FASCA booth.
